Tool FAQ

Are these tools based on real game data?

Partly. The PC checker is anchored to the official Steam minimum and recommended tiers. The countdown uses the SteamDB release timestamp. The cold survival estimator is explicitly an editorial model, not measured data — every multiplier is published on its page so you can judge it yourself. Permafrost has not shipped, so no in-game value can be verified yet.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Every tool runs in your browser and works on mobile. Nothing is uploaded — your answers stay in the URL and in your own browser.

Can I share my result?

Yes. Your state is written into the address bar, so copying the URL shares the exact result. The PC checker, cold estimator and quiz all support this.

Will these be updated after launch?

Yes. On 9 October 2026 the estimator gets recalibrated against measured values, and the checker gets real performance tiers. Each tool page carries a data version so you can see when it was last reviewed.
