The Resistance
Anti-control survivor movement
The group defined by what it pushes back against.
The Resistance is reported as a faction defined oppositionally — the survivor block that resists whatever order the other groups are trying to impose. In a frozen world, "resistance" usually means refusing to pay the toll the armed or technical groups demand.
It is the natural narrative home for a player who does not want to swear to a banner, and a pressure source on the richer factions.
How The Resistance changes your survival calculus
- Creates the faction tension the deep districts run on: someone always contests the territory.
- A solo or independent player can use the Resistance as cover against Ex-Military or Technocrat control.
- Changes how you route: resistance-held ground may be freer but less supplied.
- — Who or what the Resistance resists specifically
- — Whether it is a network or a single cell
- — Any mechanical benefit or penalty for siding with it
