The Scavengers are reported as the group built around salvage and trade — the people who turn ruined cities into usable parts. They are the economic engine of a world where scarcity is the rule.
Because the core loop is scavenge → repair → heat → push deeper, a scavenger faction is less a side-group and more the reason the loop exists.
How The Scavengers changes your survival calculus
- Directly feeds Base Building and Restoration: someone has to supply the parts you restore with.
- A trade relationship with Scavengers can offset a bad loot run without a gunfight.
- Their turf is probably the richest salvage — and the most contested.
